Business Process Services professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology. As a Sourcing Associate Manager, you will be dedicated to an external client and responsible for developing an in-depth understanding of the client's business, structure, challenges and requirements within the context of the client's business sector. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies related to a variety spend areas across the Services categories (i.e. Technology, HR, Travel, Marketing, etc.) to support the client's business goals while achieving optimal pricing, quality and service levels. In this capacity, you will have substantial involvement in supporting sales and solution design and in helping the procurement organization expand their involvement and control of non-traditional spend areas.
Client Relationship Management
Build and actively maintain relationships with key client stakeholders across various functional units such as procurement, legal, vendor management and individual category groups
Establish yourself as a trusted advisor through networking with your client and on-site presence to support sourcing execution as appropriate
Pursue and develop senior level stakeholder relationships at priority accounts; support account stakeholder relationship plans
Understand client unique processes and requirements pertaining to the procurement process and be well versed in the client's end to end source to pay process. Be knowledgeable of the scope of Accenture services, holistically
Stay informed about trends happening in your client industry, and be aware of your client's environment
Work collaboratively with suppliers and client stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost and performance improvement strategies
Ensure client satisfaction through project delivery
Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives, ensuring that the sourcing team is supporting overall company direction and growth
Lead Sourcing Projects
Identify cost/productivity improvement opportunities in spending
Support development of market insights from cross-client sourcing activities and collaborate with Procurement Category Advisory team to provide industry and supplier research, market intelligence and financial analyses to client.
Provide input to Accenture best practices
Lead sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution
Maximize own utilization to ensure optimal productivity and margin contributing to contract P&L. Pursue off-shore optimization and support for projects
Represent Accenture as a sourcing expert (both from a process and client interaction perspective) to current and prospective clients
This opportunity is based in Chicago at client site.
Here's What You Need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in consulting, sourcing/procurement/supply chain management function
Minimum 2 years' experience in leading procurement or sourcing engagements
Solid multi-phase project management skills and proven project delivery experience
Ability to effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts related to Services categories: Corporate & Professional Services, Technology, HR, Travel, Marketing
Ability to act independently and interface with clients and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong ability to effectively manage in a matrix organizational structure working with multiple internal stakeholders
Ability to adapt to the varied corporate cultures and organizational structures of client
Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders or clients that have resulted in high client satisfaction
This role is required to sit on-site with the client 4-5 days a week
